Being Kind because Kindness Matters
This week through the celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week, we’ve visited the need to reinforce the power of being kind in our everyday lives. And…there’s still 3 more days to go!
As one who has not always been on the receiving end of kindness, particularly in my career as a school principal, I can tell you that nothing could be more important. Being able to be kind is something that I believe we are all born with, and somewhere along the way, if not nurtured, can be lost in the business of our daily lives. The modeling of kindness is a practice that must be sought after if we are to raise a generation of individuals who will care about each other, and this planet we all share.
In honor of this week, I started 2 boards on Pinterest:
- #Kindness Matters
- Be Kind (Edutopia.org)
Please use the links, resources and ideas found on these boards and share them with your friends and colleagues because:
Today for #RAKweek Day 5, your mission, is to Donate your time of money to a local charity!
Have you been up for the challenge? What will you do this weekend, to jump-start your journey of modeling kindness ?
