Seek your voice & passion with The 30 Goals Challenge!

I’m so excited to share this amazing challenge with all of you! For those who follow or visit my blog, you know that I’ve posted The 30 Goals Song of the Week here and on FaceBook for a few months now. I’ve also shared that more exciting work in this piece was coming. Well…Now it’s here and we are ready to take this journey to the next level!

Join me and Shelly Terrell on the Journey of a life time: The 30 Goals Challenge.

Here’s how Shelly shares it: ” Over 4600 educators joined the The 30 Goals Challenge for Educators since January 2010. The 2011 journey for The 30 Goals Challenge for Educators begins officially tomorrow, February 1st! Watch the video or listen to the podcast for more details. We will mostly do this through video blogging on The 30 Goals Youtube Playlist, podcasting, and supporting each other on various social networks/mobile apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, and 43 Things. You will also read very short related posts in this blog and at Lisa Dabb’s Teaching With Soul blog. All these social networks are free, however, we will be publishing  The 30 Goals Challenge for Educators book in the Fall of 2011 that will be available for purchase.”

And there’s more!

Exciting News!!! If you join the challenge at least once a week by posting on any of the social networks your reflection of one of the goals then your name will be placed in a raffle to win a free  autographed copy of the book. We will also announce a special surprise as we get near to the end of the challenge!

Take a listen as Shelly presents The 30 Goals Challenge.

So what does this mean? Here’s the challenge: For the next 30 days a community of educators will seek to accomplish 30 short-term goals related to education. This will be accomplished through a variety of social networks. We will look to do this through many free resources:blogging, video blogging (vlogging, vodcast), podcasting, using a mobile app (43 Things), microblogging (Twitter), Facebook, and a radio show. All you have to do is choose which of these free forums you want to take part in and how you want to take part. It’s that simple! You choose your level of participation, but I want to nudge you to do a daily or weekly post!

And…For all the new and pre-service teachers that join me on #ntchat…let me know how I can support you to take on The 30 Goals Challenege!

So…How do I participate? Here are the tons of fun ways to get started and they’re all free!

  • add a comment to below
  • add a video blog as a response on The 30 Goals Youtube Playlist
    • just record it off your webcam and tell us your thoughts! We’ll add these to the Facebook group and the Twitter feed!

  • add a comment or link through Twitter using #30goals as the hashtag
