Be Remarkable!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to add some amazing enthusiastic Twitter educators and innovators to my PLN (Personal Learning Network). One of them is Naomi Harm.

Naomi is among many things an International key-note speaker, educational technology consultant and technology grant writer. She posts great ideas on her blog at: http://blog.innovativeeducator.us/

One of her recent posts had this amazing video. Although designed to encourage building a small business, it spoke to me in another way. I saw in it the encouragement I needed today to keep pressing forward, no matter what! It reminded me that I’m on this planet to make a difference, and…I never want to lose that passion.

The message? You too are here to make a difference. So…no matter how tough things get, don’t lose your dreams, your hope, and never lose your passion.

Be present in all you do, Be a Leader, Be Remarkable!

Don’t waste one more minute!  Because…They are counting on YOU.

I found your site through http://teacherbootcamp.edublogs.org/ shared by http://www.diigo.com/profile/neilr3.

I’m interested in developing a mentoring network. The thought that I had was that everyone is busy all the time, but people are generally amenable to helping others if it doesn’t require a large commitment.
With social networking, people can help others anonymously with very small time commitments. The cumulative effect can be quite large.

    Lisa,

Thanks for the words of encouragement on my post. The video was great! It makes me remember that I’m a teacher to change things and that if I just sit back and let the status quo stay, I’m not better than her. Thanks again for the positive words! 🙂

Lisa, first off, thanks for the comments on the Pecha Kucha. It was an interesting process to say the least, but I’m glad I did it.

As far as Naomi goes, I can honestly say meeting her is one of the highlights of my professional career. She has done so much for me and my family and is one of the top educational minds out there. She really is a rare gem and such a good friend.

I only hope people can get the privilege of meeting/working w/ her. She is absolutely fantastic!!
