It’s Snowing in So Cal!

If you follow my blog, you know that I have two sons, Aaron and Jason.

They are young adults, going to college among many other things! When they were much younger the joy of the holiday season, was the best time of the year for me.  Now that they are older it’s a whole new ball game! However, the thought that only the “elementary school” kids need or enjoy the crafts, songs and holiday fun simply, just isn’t true.

For all the educators, Moms and Dad’s who are teachers or parents of older kids, it doesn’t mean that we can’t have fun too!

I went with Aaron to a local mall to do a little holiday shopping. The mall has an advertised “Magical Snow Spectacle” every night, so we went to check it out. What fun it was to see the smile on his face as he got covered with “Snow”.

He really loved it! (and so did I)

Just goes to show you that our young adult children are still little kids…deep down inside. They need the crafts, songs and Holiday fun, probably as much as their younger friends. You just need to meet them where they are. Find out about their fave holiday song, book or activity…and turn into a lesson!

The message: Don’t miss out on this time to enjoy the Holidays with your grown-up kids and older students. In many ways, they need us now, more than ever.
