#Thankateacher! Give Thanks Week: Edutopia starts a movement.
Edutopia Give Thanks Week: How You Can Participate
Thanksgiving is coming up and we’d like to focus this movement of thanks to those that need it most (educators!). Now, more than ever, a simple thanks to an educator, colleague, or student that helped or even inspires you can go a long way.
We’re continually amazed at the high level of thoughtfulness and generosity that we see every day in our communities on edutopia.org, Facebook, Twitter and more.
So..we’d like to use this thread as a way for community members to thank another community member, colleague, student, parent, business/organization, administrator..and basically anyone else who’s helped you stay in the profession you know and love.
Here’s how it works:
This is the time of year when so many of us are taking the time for reflection. In the US, most educators have just completed their first big chunk of teaching. If you are new teacher, you also may have just completed your first round of observations or evaluation. A stressful time to be sure!
In the midst of this work, it’s hard to find the time to acknowledge those that have helped and supported your work as a teacher and educator.
When I saw this post on Edutopia, I thought it was an amazing idea that needs to be shared!
Take the time to read the full post…
Then…Join me in the #thankateacher movement…you will be so glad that you did.
