Goal: Begin to work on ways that you can rethink classroom management in your daily practice as an educator and examine the classroom meeting model,share it with a colleague.

Challenge: 1) Join The Teacher Mentoring Project on The EduPLN. 2) Support new teachers at Edutopia.org by responding to their questions and concerns. 3) Keep a list of ways you will begin to work on finding the best way to implement classroom management.

That was fascinating! I wonder how common such meetings are in the school system?
I’m glad you thought so. We have used it a lot here in many So Cal schools. My Dad was a HS Principal and he says they used to call
it “The Magic Circle”. He was trained in the process and used it all the time with his students when he was a Math Teacher. Interesting
how a process can take on “new legs” decades later. 🙂
